Does anyone know of any good webinars or articles helping new trainers learn about program design? How do create an exercise program after having an initial consultation with a client.

Program design for anaerobic training is based around 7 principles.  Needs analysis, exercise selection, training frequency, exercise order, sets and reps, volume, and rest periods.  For the general population it can be seen as working with the client to develop specific goals within a specific time period, taking them through a proper assessment, determining movement dysfunction and muscle imbalances, proper scheduling that fits the clients needs, and writing a program.  Write your programs with proper progression and modifications in mind.  Theory and practice are 2 different things, and if you can't swap in a comparable exercise on the spot, for an exercise that the client doesn't feel comfortable with then your preparation needs to be that much more thorough.
