Education Coordinator Position

The Education Coordinator will primarily manage and execute all aspects of the NSCA Examination Preparation Symposia (EPS) Program, including but not limited to, content development, program planning, scheduling and delivery, and evaluation. The Education Coordinator will also assist with the development of educational material as requested, particularly online materials and courses, and provide customer service as required.

Specific Responsibilities:

Duties to include, but not be exclusive to the following:
 

  • Manage all aspects of the Examination Preparation Symposia (EPS) Program
  • Develop budget, schedule and standard operating procedures for the EPS
  • Develop and implement evaluation and continuous improvement for the EPS 
  • Coordinate and facilitate live and online EPS events and webinars
  • Develop EPS content; itinerary, presentation slides, and instructor manual for the NSCA Certified Special Populations Specialist (CSPS®) certification
  • Oversee and coordinate the development of collegiate level curricula to be administered at NSCA Education Recognition Program Schools
  • Collaborate inter-departmentally to promote the EPS and maximize NSCA membership and certification growth 
  • Assist with the update and development of exam preparation products
  • Develop and assist in the development of online educational courses, webinars, and streaming live events through online sources
  • Develop opportunities for improving NSCA education offerings to enhance member benefit
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and guidelines
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends
  • Travel as required
  • All other duties as assigned by the Education Manager and Director of Education 

General education duties to include, but not be exclusive to the following:
 

  • Answer general Education Department and EPS specific phone calls and emails for customer service purposes
  • Presenting, instructing and assisting with NSCA Education Department at events and programs

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field
  • Demonstrable independent and conscientious work experience
  • Drive and motivation related to all responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills through all mediums
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with industry personalities/talent
  • Proven ability to generate and convey new ideas
  • Ability to work well within a collaborative environment
  • Proven ability to gather, effectively analyze, and apply information
  • Experience presenting to students and professionals in both small and large settings
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Powerpoint
  • NSCA Certified
Preferred:
  • NSCA Member
  • Master’s degree in Exercise Science or related field
  • Minimum of three years of experience in personal training or strength and conditioning
  • Administrative/management experience in personal training or related field
  • Experience and training in developing and presenting fitness-related seminars
  • Experience working with/teaching college-level students

Wage Status:

Exempt
