Education Coordinator Position

The Education Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to assist the Digital Production team by providing support to Education Department projects by editing and reviewing content, managing databases, reviewing and checking Department web pages and reporting errors, research, customer service, and completing related projects as assigned by the Education Director.

Specific Responsibilities:

Duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
 

  • Develop and expand member contribution and recognition projects that increase educational content on the NSCA web pages.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of Education content production, as well as digital product projects.
  • Provides service and support to member content contributors, independent contractors, authors, and third party vendors associated with various Education projects.
  • Reads, reviews, and edits written articles, test materials and documents for online publication.
  • Reads, researches, and edits correspondence: drafting letters and documents, collecting and analyzing information, initiating communications, etc. 
  • Represents the digital production team in meetings and discussions as needed.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operational data and trends and makes recommendations based upon this information.
  • Maintains workflow and works effectively, proactively and independently to meet deadlines.
  • Communicates effectively with management and peers providing status reports and updates on deliverables.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Digital Content Manager and Education Director.
  • Answer general education phone calls and emails for customer service requests.

Education and/or Experience:

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in English or Business, or related field
  • Highly developed written communications skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills through various mediums 
  • Internet competency and research ability
  • Social media proficiency and familiarity
  • Proven ability to gather and analyze data and information from various mediums
  • Proven ability to successfully manage and assist in multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Proven ability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail 
  • Works well and communicates effectively with staff, members, and volunteers 
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook 
Preferred:
  • NSCA certified (CSCS, NSCA-CPT, TSAC-F or CSPS)
  • Experience working in a corporate, business, or non-profit environment
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent business sense and proven leadership ability
  • Sales experience

Wage Status:

Non-exempt
