    Session Descriptions
    Brief history of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, overview of the Exam Prep Symposium (EPS) and certification exam test-taking strategies.
     
    Explanation of the steps required in the client-trainer agreement and the importance of compatibility as well as health appraisal evaluation and risk factors.
     
    Review of fitness testing administration and interpretation of results.
     
    Basic nutrition and personal trainers scope of practice as well as the theories of goal setting.
     
    Basics of exercise technique; including grip types, body position, breathing techniques and proper execution of free weight, machine, and stability ball exercises.
     
    Hands-on demonstration of exercise technique. Attendees will also practice, coach, and evaluate the core lifts with feedback and instruction from the presenter.

    Hands-on demonstration and practice from the day 1 Fitness Assessment lecture.
     
    Overview of the practice, and duties owed to maintain a safe training environment.
     
    Learn the steps to effectively design progressive exercise programs for personal training clients of all fitness levels.
     
    Test what you've learned! This practice exam is only available at the Exam Prep Symposium.
     
    Following the practice exam, the presenters will review the correct answers and explain any questions you may have!
