NSCA Flight Manual
By Boyd Epley
Director of Coaching Performance
and Jake Wurth
Coordinator of Coaching Performance

To become a pilot, you first study the rules and regulations in the official flight manual before ever getting into the cockpit of an airplane. New pilots learn procedures to fly along side a certified pilot. New pilots only Fly Solo after their instructor believes they are ready to.
This model also applies for the NSCA Fly Solo Program™ for strength coaches. The NSCA Fly Solo Program™ relies on the strength and conditioning professional to share their knowledge and experience so new strength coaches can help athletes improve performance.

The Flight Manual and Fly Solo Camp are designed to compliment each other. You are required to first successfully complete the six modules in the Flight Manual before you are eligible to attend the Fly Solo Camp. You’ll find that you must complete one module before advancing to the next. There will be five questions at the end of each chapter. You must answer three of the five correctly to advance.
We’ve enclosed some reference material that we feel might be of interest to you including the camp schedule to give you an idea of what to expect when you attend the Fly Solo Camp.
