NSCA Fly Solo Camp

The Flight Manual must be completed before coaches are allowed to attend the Fly Solo Camp.

Attending the Fly Solo Camp means coaches are prepared to :
Design, implement, and monitor safe and effective strength and conditioning programs to improve physical performance for men’s and women’s sports through:

Development of a year-round strength and conditioning program.
Speed and power development.
Determination of training cycles and phases.
Planning of appropriate and sport specific exercises, exercise sequence, sets, repetitions, and recovery periods.
Setting of load, frequency, and intensity.
Evaluation of the appropriate correlation of fitness components to reach and maintain optimal sport specific performance levels.
Through appropriate strength and conditioning program design, reduce the risk and severity of potential injury.
In cooperation with medical professionals, work to recondition individuals following injury for a successful return to the playing arena.
In cooperation with nutritional professionals, provide proper and appropriate advice regarding nutrition for optimal physical performance. This includes information on ergogenic substances as well as drug prevention counseling.
Operate a strength training facility which generates thousands of workouts. Coaches that attend the Fly Solo Camp are aware of their legal duties in providing a safe strength and conditioning program. The standards listed are items strength coaches are required to do and the guidelines are items strength coaches are supposed to do.

Camp price is $99 for coaches and $50 for students.
