Dr. Lee Brown is a longtime National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) member. He is a Professor of Strength and Conditioning in the Department of Kinesiology at California State University, Fullerton where he performs research into the human neuromuscular adaptations to high velocity exercise. He was the 2003 recipient of the NSCA Outstanding Young Investigator Award, the 2009 recipient of the William J. Kraemer Outstanding Sports Scientist Award and NSCA President from 2006-2009. His extensive and impressive professional Vita includes a Master's in Exercise Science and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, both from Florida Atlantic University.

Vice President Jill A. Bush, PhD, CSCS

Dr. Jill Bush holds an Associate Professor position at Towson University in Towson, Maryland, an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, and Adjunct Associate Professor position at the University of Houston. She received her doctoral degree from Penn State University. Her current research examines nutrient and hormonal effects on exercise testing and performance in youth and adults.

Secretary/Treasurer Joan Eckerson, PhD, CSCS, FNSCA

Dr. Joan Eckerson is Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Exercise Science at Creighton University. She has over 40 publications in the area of body composition and dietary supplementation, and recently received the 2008 William J. Kraemer Outstanding Sport Scientist Award in recognition of her contributions to the NSCA, which span over 10 years. She also serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research and the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition.

Spending Policy
On January 15th of each year, the average of the NSCAF assets over the previous twelve quarters will be calculated. An amount equal to 5% of that average will be dedicated to funding of scholarships and grants for that year.
