I am dryland training a girls' hockey team, age 13.  I am looking for games that can be played at the end of the session, that would incorporate movement skills, teamwork, problem solving or communication skills.  They love dodgeball, modified European handball and relay races.  Any suggestions or direction to resources would be most appreciated.

Vickie

Hello

I know you asked for games & movement activities, so please do not interpret this comment to be anything other than a suggestion that you may already doing. I realize kids desire a need to be entertained but during the off-season, it may a great opportunity to reenforce fundamental movement techniques that helps them improve as athletes, such as speed, agility, etc, - at least as part of your practice time.

Vicky- we live by Ultimate Frisbee--the speed limitations of frisbees keeps the kids moving. The cutting, jumping, timing, coordination is amazing in this game...plus the kids LOVE it!...I find you will get so much more work capacity out of the kids when we incorporate this game. Try it some time!
