• President’s Message

Since its inception in 2007, the National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundation (NSCAF) has strived to provide needed financial assistance to National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) members taking part in educational and research endeavors. In its 10-year history, the NSCAF has been privileged to award over 115 grants and 440 scholarships totaling more than $2 million.

It has been an exciting year for the Foundation. In January of 2017, we hired our first employee to oversee daily operations of the NSCAF. There have been an additional two grant opportunities added to the NSCAF, one focused on coaching advancement and the other on high school weight room equipment. Additionally, a new scholarship honoring the memory of longtime NSCA employee Natasha Porter that will provide financial assistance to young professionals attending their first national conference. To contribute to the growing needs of the Foundation, two additional board positions have been added, and we have formed an investment committee.

I would like to take a moment and sincerely thank the many individuals who have guided the NSCAF over the years, including the current and former members of the NSCAF Board of Directors, Scholarship Committee, Grant Committee, Investment Committee, and our many grant reviewers for their leadership and support.

To our sponsors and donors, I am profoundly grateful for your support of the NSCAF and the 555 grant and scholarship recipients you have been able to impact to date.

Please continue to support the NSCA Foundation as we continue to support the mission of the NSCA.

    Dr. Brian K. Schilling, CSCS
