Developing a Collaborative Soccer Sports Performance Program

Objective : A look at the how to evaluate and build a program that addresses injury, strength training, plyometrics, nutrition recovery and collaboration with Sports Med and Sports Coaching staffs in order to improve student athlete experience at any level for soccer and all sports.

During this presentation internship issues that the speaker has encountered within the department of Kinesiology at San Jose State University will be discussed. Along with the lack of opportunities, the speaker will go over data that she has collected from students and various internship managers from universities in the area. Attendees will be encouraged to consider creating an internship opportunity and provide a framework for an internship program.

Basis Performance: Establishing and Assessing Movement Prerequisites and How to Achieve Them (lecture)
by Sarah Strange and Grayson Strange

This session will go over establishing and assessing movement prerequisites for sports, weightlifting, strongman, and fitness to determine preparedness, establish appropriate positions or movements, and mitigate injuries. It will also provide our methods for achieving those prerequisites and how they integrate with training.

Working with High School to Pro Athletes: Take Aways

This presentation will outline the speaker's experiences training athletes from the high school setting to the elite professional level. He will discuss the similarities and differences between these populations and will provide techniques that contribute to the proper training of these athletes.

Sport Science and How It Influences Performance

The basic topic revolves around “what is sports science and how can it influence performance outcomes”.  Also covered will be the framwork deleoped at UO, practical examples, and the role of technology (or lack of), data analysis, and decision making. All culminating in the concept of a “High Performance Team” in which all stakeholders have a shared vision and framework for how to answer questions, make better decisions, and drive performance outcomes.

    All refund requests must be submitted in WRITING and should include the reason for cancellation. NO refunds will be accepted via phone. A 50% refund will be granted on or before the early registration date. NO REFUNDS will be given after the early registration date.

    As a registered attendee, will I receive a recording of the online event? 
    Yes. You will receive a recording within 1 week after the event to review anything you may have missed. You will have access for one year. 

    If I miss some of the online event will this affect my CEUs?
    No. You will receive a recording after the event to review anything you may have missed, therefore receiving the full Category A CEUs. 

    Will I receive a Certificate of Attendance? 
    Yes. A certificate will be emailed to you approximately 2 weeks after the event.

    How do I report my CEUs?
    The NSCA will automatically apply the CEUs to your NSCA Account. If you need to report CEUs elsewhere, you may use the Certificate of Attendance.

    Can anyone register for this event? 
    Yes. Anyone who is interested in an NSCA Event can register. 

    Do I need a Membership to register?
    No. You only need an NSCA Account to register. If you do not have one, you can create one for free.
