What I Wish I Knew - The Youth Female Athlete
by Alana Asch, MS, CSCS

This session will provide actionable ways to help youth athletes, but will also provide my experience as someone who struggled with mental health as a youth athlete. What can we as coaches do? First and foremost, we need to take care of ourselves and our mental health. Only when our cup is full can we fill others. We will also discuss things such as strength training, journaling, and listening to podcasts that together have impacted my athletes, among other tools.

Technique /Progressions for Combine Training for Adolescent Athletes
by Mike Nunziato, CSCS, RSCC

Combine training has gained enormous popularity over the past 10 years, and youth athletes compete in clinics/camps more frequently throughout the year. Some coaches/trainers are teaching these drills improperly or need to learn how to teach them, as these techniques are normally not part of any certification or degree and get commonly overlooked. High Schools/Colleges rely on these testing numbers to see if an athlete will be a fit for their school, so as coaches, we should be able to properly teach and prescribe drills that will give our clients the best opportunity to compete.
