Chip Sigmon received his Bachelor of Science from Appalachian State University in 1978. After attending ASU, he went on to teach and coach 4 years in the Kannapolis City school system then went on to the University of North Carolina as an assistant strength coach in 1982. From there Chip was hired back at his alma mater ASU to be the school’s first full time strength and conditioning coach. He was at ASU from 1984 until 1990 when he became strength coach for the NBA Charlotte Hornets. Chip now works at Europa Sports Products as the Strength and Conditioning / Wellness Coordinator. He received his CSCS in 1989 and his USAW in 2013. Chip is also certified by the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) which he received in 2016. He is the author of the book “52 Week Basketball Training” by Human Kinetics.
