Jared Hornsby is an Assistant Professor at Liberty University in the Master of Science in Exercise Science Program. Hornsby has provided human performance training (education, training, and assessment components) for the university’s Army Reserve Officer Training Corps to improve cadet performance. Some assessments conducted in this program are the Army Combat Readiness Test, modified Ranger Physical Assessment Test, Ranger Athlete Warrior Assessment, and the Occupational Physical Assessment Test. The results of this work have been briefed to brigade commanders and general officers within the United States Army. This work has led to Hornsby becoming part of the United States Army’s Human Dimension Division’s Community of Practice. Currently, Hornsby is testing fatigue and heart rate biofeedback monitors to determine their effect on cognitive function and marksmanship.
