Bobby Smith is the owner of Reach Your Potential Training (RYPT), a sports performance business in Tinton Falls, NJ. Since founding RYPT in 2011, it has grown to one of the most successful and respected sports performance businesses in the state, seeing more than 1000 athletes a year. A two-sport athlete at Monmouth University, Bobby persevered through multiple injuries and surgeries to earn All-Conference honors as a running back on the football team, and All-American honors in the Javelin. Post-collegiately, he continued his javelin career at the national level, becoming the 2008 Olympic Trials champion. This accomplishment earned him a scholarship to train at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. At the OTC, Bobby was fortunate enough to work with some of the top track and field coaches and strength coaches in the country. He learned how to properly run and train to become a better athlete. After his fifth surgery, he decided to hang up his javelin spikes and "pay-it-forward" to the young athletes in his home state on NJ. Along side his wife, the owner of Elite Sports Physical Therapy, they opened The Elite Sports Performance Center, where they share their knowledge with young athletes, allowing them to truly reach their potential.
