Caitlyn Heredia is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology at California State University, Fullerton with an emphasis in Biomechanics. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Whitworth University in Spokane, WA. Heredia has a background in sports medicine, which included providing emergency care, therapeutic treatment, and movement-based training to athletic populations. She has previously interned with the Gonzaga University men’s soccer team, Gonzaga University women’s rowing team, Spokane Chiefs Western Hockey League team, and Seattle Mariners Major League Baseball (MLB) team. She is currently teaching anatomy lab at California State University, Fullerton. Heredia’s research interests include biomechanics of screening movements, and sports and tactical performance. She is currently working on an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) research project and her own research on kinematics of the Functional Movement Screen (FMS).
