CSCS Al Was head football coach at Moreau High School from 1973 to 1978 During the those his teams won combine 9 championships on all 3 levels and his varsity league winning percentage of 82%. Former Strength & Conditioning Coach Of The San Francisco 49ers 1982 Super Bowl XVI Champion And 6 Times NBA Champion Chicago Bulls Only Strength & Conditioning Coach To Have World Championship Rings From Both The NFL And The NBA Al was honored by being one of the initial inductees to the Strength Coaches Hall of Fame in June 2003 In 2007 he was honored as one of the initial inductees as a Legends in the Field by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association in recognition for his pioneering efforts on behalf of the strength and conditioning profession. In 2008 Al Selected to Moreau Catholic High School Athletic Hall of Fame In 2012 Al Received the Boyd Epley Life Time Achievement Award from the NSCA In 2014 Moreau, Catholic High School Named Their New Sports Complex Al Vermeil Field He in Both the Calistoga High School and Napa Community College Sports Hall of Fame for His Achievements Has Athlete Al resides in Loveland Ohio with wife Diane of 50 years and they have two children Lance and Elizabeth. Lance was he also a successful Strength & Conditioning Coach. Lance was the Western Kentucky football Strength & Conditioning Coach when they won the 1AA National Championship under Legendary Football Coach Jack Harbaugh. Elizabeth resides in Loveland Ohio with her husband Paul Thornberry they have 3 children, Kendall, Joey and Lily
