Cristi Bartlett has been coaching in Division 1 collegiate strength and conditioning for 13+ years as well as having spent two years in professional football. Over the course of her career, she has been responsible for the design and implementation of many different athletic populations. She currently is the Director of Strength and Conditioning/Assistant Athletic Director at NC State University where she oversees the department of 6 strength coaches and over 500 athletes. Her team responsibilities are currently Men’s Soccer and Volleyball. Prior to NC State, Cristi spent two years in professional football as an assistant strength coach. She started in the XFL, with The New York Guardians. When Covid, cut the season short, Cristi moved on to the NFL and worked with the Tennessee Titans. Cristi spent 9 years at the University of Pennsylvania, she handled various administrative responsibilities including the schedule management of the 33 sports, coordinating the internship program, and participating on various committees. She also designed and implemented the strength and conditioning programs for Softball, Baseball, Football, Swim and Dive, Tennis, Gymnastics, Fencing, Volleyball, Golf, Rowing, and Soccer during her tenure. Throughout the duration of Bartlett’s stay, her programming helped assist in the win of multiple Ivy League Championships. Prior to Penn, Bartlett spent time coaching at James Madison University while being responsible for the performance programs of the Track and Field, Softball, and Tennis programs, while assisting with the basketball teams. Before arriving at James Madison, she began her coaching career at Morehead State University. While at Morehead, she wrote the programs for Softball, Tennis, Baseball and assisted with the coaching of the Basketball, Football, Volleyball, and Soccer teams. Bartlett has helped numerous athletes prepare for their professional careers post college (MLB, NFL, MLS). Bartlett was a collegiate athlete at Winthrop University and Catawba college where she played basketball while earning her degree. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. Bartlett then attended UNC-Charlotte to obtain her master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology. Whilst in graduate school, she was a professional strength and conditioning intern at UNC-Charlotte, Davidson College, and NC State. Bartlett has casually competed in USAPL powerlifting where she has multiple national records and placed 2nd in the nation at the USAPL National Championships. She also has competed in Jiu-Jitsu. Bartlett is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) and a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM).
