Colin Tomes is a professor, PhD candidate, and physical therapist. He enlisted in the United States Air Force with the objective of training to join a front-line combat team. This led to a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and conducting research at Bond University with the Tactical Research Unit and New South Wales Police Force. From there, he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Bond University, conducting additional clinical and research work with the New South Wales Police and Royal New Zealand Police Academy. He is certified as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), as well as a Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator® (TSAC-F®) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS®) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
