Dave Hamilton is currently the Director of Performance Science for USA Field Hockey, a role he started after a 4-year campaign with the Great Britain (GB) and England Women’s Hockey team. During his four years as Head of Strength and Conditioning Coach for the GB hockey team they climbed the world rankings from No. 7 to No. 3. This culminated with the team achieving a Bronze medal in the London Olympics games. In his 12 years as a strength and conditioning coach, he has worked within a contrasting mix of systems and cultures. He has enjoyed successful experiences in Qatar, Hong Kong, Canada, the UK, and has been fortunate to work with a mixture of athletic levels, from the elite youth to current Commonwealth, World, and Olympic medalists. Hamilton’s training philosophy is focused on unique systems that enable direct assessment of physical development, readiness, and performance within the complex world of team sports and concurrent training.
