Meg Stone is a two-time Olympian in discus for Great Britain and Commonwealth Games gold medalist. She became the first woman to serve as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Arizona, later holding the same role at Texas Tech University. She has coached Olympians and professional athletes across multiple sports and contributed to Paralympic training. Currently, she directs the Center of Excellence for Sport Science and Coach Education at East Tennessee State University. A Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), she has received numerous honors, including the NSCA Lifetime Achievement Award and PAC-12 Hall of Honor recognition. She is pursuing a PhD at the University of Edinburgh, examining gender and leadership.
The NSCA is a recognized 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit dedicated to advancing strength and conditioning research and education for all people.
