After completing an undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Brigham Young University-Hawaii, Tara De Leon got a Master’s degree in Human Movement: Sports Conditioning from A.T. Still University. De Leon was a volunteer Strength and Conditioning Coach for the United States Navy, and later went on to work as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Loyola University Maryland. She is currently a strength and conditioning coach at Athletic Performance Inc., and is in her 11th year at Anne Arundel Community College as a professor of health, fitness, and exercise studies. De Leon has her Level 1 Performance Coach through United States of America Weightlifting (USAW), Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Functional Movement Screen through Functional Movement Systems (FMS), as well as 10 other fitness certifications.
