Before coming to Georgia, Heitmeyer was the Director of Sports Nutrition at both Baylor University (May 2015-August 2017) and the University of Missouri (January 2007-May 2015). During her time at Missouri, she also served as a strength and conditioning coach for multiple teams after starting her career there as a graduate assistant in 2004Heitmeyer is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian, a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches AssociationShe has two sons: Gage (10) and Zayden (5).
