Mike Martino is a tenured Full Professor and the Exercise Science Program Coordinator at Georgia College in Milledgeville, GA. He has served as the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Georgia State Director, Southeast Regional Coordinator, and Chair of the State/Provincial Director Committee. He has been a member of the NSCA since 1987 and continues to volunteer his services to the organization. Throughout his 30 years of coaching and teaching, he has worked with a diversity of populations ranging from youth to elite Olympians. He has presented at the state, regional, national, and international levels for the NSCA. In addition, he currently serves as the Head of Strength and Conditioning Coach for all sports at Georgia College and is a co-owner of Bodyplex Fitness Milledgeville. His current research focuses on barefoot pre-activation training. In 2012, Martino was recognized as the NSCA Educator of the Year and in 2015 he was recognized for Outstanding Leadership and Service to the NSCA.
