Nutrition for performance can become overly complicated and potentially difficult due to the vast amount of information available at our fingertips. The objective for today will be to simplify best practices, based on the what the science says, while also incorporating the person into the equation. We’ll cover macronutritent recommendations, timing recommendations, popular supplements and their efficacy, and behavior strategies.

Beyond Strength: SEL Strategies in Strength & Conditioning

The weightroom offers one of the most powerful learning environments on campus… IF we decide to use it that way. Are we lifting weights or building grit, growth and gratitude? Are we sprinting or building self-awareness? Let’s do both! This session will share research conducted by Davis at Harvard University as well as strategies developed while training more than 30 state and national championship teams, to provide educators with a roadmap to go beyond strength and teach lessons that last a lifetime. Through a collaborative session with attendees, participants will be able to combine research-based SEL strategies with high-performance weightroom progressions.

    All refund requests must be submitted in WRITING and should include the reason for cancellation. NO refunds will be accepted via phone. A 50% refund will be granted on or before the early registration date. NO REFUNDS will be given after the early registration date.

    If they are available, you will receive them via email within 2 weeks after the event.

    The NSCA will automatically apply the CEUs to your NSCA Account. If you need to report CEUs elsewhere, you may use the Certificate of Attendance.
