The NSCA Announces the 2022 Annual Award Recipients

Colorado Springs, CO – The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is proud to announce this year’s recipients for the organization’s 2022 annual awards. These distinctive awards honor professionals around the world for outstanding achievement in their field. Each of the award winners will be formally recognized at the NSCA’s National Conference which will be held from July 6-9, 2022, in New Orleans, LA.

The recipients are:

Educator of the Year – David H. Fukuda, PhD, CSCS,*D, FNSCA

High School Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year – Richard C. Lansky, CSCS, RSCC*E

The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research Editorial Excellence Award – Michael Deschenes, PhD and Margaret T. Jones, PhD, CSCS,*D, FNSCA

Nutritional Research Achievement Award – Adam M. Gonzalez, PhD, CSCS,*D

Personal Trainer of the Year – Vernon Griffith II, CSCS,*D

State/Provincial Director of the Year – Whitney D. Leyva-Camberos, MS, CSCS,*D, NSCA-CPT,*D, RSCC

Strength and Conditioning Journal Editorial Excellence Award – Tom Cormier, MS, CSCS,*D, CSPS,*D, NSCA-CPT,*D

Terry J. Housh Outstanding Young Investigator of the Year – Timothy Suchomel, PhD, CSCS,*D, RSCC

William J. Kraemer Outstanding Sport Scientist of the Year – Abbie E. Smith-Ryan, PhD, CSCS,*D, FNSCA
