NSCA’s North Central Regional Coordinator provides oversight and training to local state and provincial directors. Jed Smith is the Director of Strength and Conditioning and an Exercise Science Instructor at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) where he has been a coach and instructor since 2005. Smith oversees 18 NCAA Division 1 sport teams, as well as the staff that trains them. Prior to joining the staff at UNI, Smith was a strength and conditioning coach for the Minnesota Vikings (National Football League team), Minnesota Wild (National Hockey League team), and Minnesota Thunder (United Soccer League team).

Seth Daughters is an Instructor and Field Experience Coordinator in the Exercise Science Program at South Dakota State University (SDSU). Daughters is also active as a strength and conditioning coach, working with local high school athletes and general populations. Prior to joining the faculty at SDSU, Daughters spent time as a Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in the private sector, a high school strength and conditioning coach and a college strength and conditioning coach.
