The NSCA Foundation is seeking 2 individuals to serve on the Investment Committee for 3-year terms (July 15, 2024-July 15, 2027). The Investment Committee assists review the NSCA Foundation investments and work with the Board of Directors and Investment Manager to ensure appropriate stewardship of all funds. All work is done virtually and no in-person meetings are required.
Mission
To support the long-term financial health of the NSCA Foundation by overseeing and recommending responsible investment strategies that align with the Foundation’s mission, financial objectives, and approved investment policies.
Authority
The Investment Committee advises the Board regarding investment strategy, policy, performance, risk, fees, and investment service providers. The Board retains final authority over investment policies, asset allocation, investment managers and service providers, material investment decisions, and changes to the Foundation’s investment strategy.
The Committee may evaluate investment service providers and recommend their appointment, retention, or removal. It may not independently hire or terminate a provider unless the Board expressly delegates that authority.
Purpose
The Committee supports responsible oversight and long-term growth of the Foundation’s investment assets through regular monitoring, evaluation, and recommendations to the Board.

Qualifications
Collectively, the Committee should possess experience in investment management, finance or accounting, institutional portfolios or endowments, asset allocation and risk management, investment-policy governance, reviewing investment performance and fees, and nonprofit financial oversight. No individual member is required to possess every qualification.

The Committee has a Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary.
