Since its inception in 2007, the National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundation (NSCAF) has strived to provide needed financial assistance to National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) members taking part in educational and research endeavors. In its 11-year history, the NSCAF has been privileged to award over 115 grants and 440 scholarships totaling more than $2 million.
As a recipient, committee member, reviewer, board member, and now President, I can state with confidence that the NSCAF has much to be proud of. Our programs truly make a difference in lives of others. It is incredibly rewarding for me to hear stories of students that were able to help get an Assistantship or successfully complete a research project because of the Foundation’s mission. Our efforts have incalculable ripple effects, as they allow NSCA members to network with others and have the financial freedom to embark on new professional opportunities.
I would like to thank the many individuals who have guided the NSCAF over the years, including the current and former members of the NSCAF Board of Directors, Committee members, and our many grant reviewers for their leadership.
If you are a student, practitioner, or researcher, please consider applying for a scholarship and/or grant. If you are in a position to do so, I hope you will donate to the NSCAF. Your donations make a tremendous impact in the world of strength and conditioning.
