Tomas Ruvalcaba graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and is currently a Masters student at California State University, Fullerton, with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning and Exercise Physiology. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS®) and Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator® (TSAC-F®) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). His research has investigated hydration techniques, physiological characteristics, and physical fitness performance of wildland fire suppression aid recruits during academy training. Ruvalcaba has also conducted research into the health and fitness characteristics of deputy sheriffs. He plans to continue working alongside tactical populations with aspirations of optimizing overall wellness, fitness, and occupational performance.
