Dan Bunyan has been employed as a strength and conditioning coach for the New South Wales Police Force RECON Program in Australia since 2016. Working in this space, Bunyan is responsible for the development and implementation of health and performance strategies to assist with returning to duty following injury, capability enhancement, and health promotion. He also works with individual and team sport athletes ranging from international competitors to those at club level. Bunyan is a casual academic at the University of Newcastle and presents courses for the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) and Sports Medicine Australia. He has previously worked in general population and elite sports academy settings as a trainer and a coach. Bunyan holds a Master’s degree in Exercise Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Business Studies. He is a Level 3 Elite Coach and a Level 1 Tactical Coach with the ASCA, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS®) and a Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator® (TSAC-F®) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is also a Level 2 Sports Trainer with Sports Medicine Australia.
