Amanda Wheeler Gryffin is Chair of the Department of Health Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Arkansas State University. Gryffin has 27 years of extensive experience in athletic training and exercise science as both a practitioner and educator, holding both the Board of Certification (BOC) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Gryffin is an advocate with her faculty and students to strive for consistent growth in both body and mind to improve mental and physical output in all areas of life. Gryffin holds a Master's degree in Health and Physical Education from Marshall University and a PhD in Health, Leisure, and Human Performance from Oklahoma State University.
The NSCA is a recognized 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit dedicated to advancing strength and conditioning research and education for all people.
