Richard Cleveland is an Associate Professor at Georgia Southern University, Director of Counselor Education Master of Education program, and Mental Health/Resilience Researcher for Tactical Athlete Research Initiative. He is a nationally board-certified professional mental health counselor licensed in Georgia, Resilience Instructor through Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST), Mental Health First Aid instructor, and subject matter expert with the United States Department of Justice Collaborative Reform Initiative for Technical Assistance Center (CRI-TAC). Clevelands research interests include mindfulness-based tactical instruction for tactical clients navigating high-stress/trauma and using solitude, mindfulness, and spirituality as therapeutic resilience interventions.
