Kyle C. Pierce, CSCS

Kyle Pierce is a Professor at Louisiana State University in Shreveport and serves as the Human Performance Laboratory and Weightlifting Center Director. He has coached weightlifting athletes from their first day of training throughout to Olympic Games and World Championships and has coached both United States of America and Ghana at international weightlifting competitions including Olympic, African, Pan American, and Commonwealth Games. Since 2000, he has been a member of the International Weightlifting Federation Coaching and Research Committee and is a member of the Pan American Weightlifting Federation Coaching and Research Committee. He received the United States Olympic Committees Doc Councilman Science Award for a coach that utilizes scientific techniques and equipment as an integral part of his or her coaching methods or has created innovative ways to use sport science. In 2017, he was inducted into the USA Weightlifting Hall of Fame and into the International Weightlifting Federation Hall of Fame in 2023.
