Lanier Coleman began his coaching career at his Alma Mater, The University of Louisiana as an intern in 2011. After six months, he accepted his first full time position at Rice University from 2011-2012. In the fall of 2012, he accepted a position at the University of California Berkeley. He then earned NFL opportunities as a defensive tackle with the New York Jets and offensive guard for the Green Bay Packers (2013) and Defensive End for the Tennessee Titans (2014). In 2014, Coleman returned to Collegiate Football strength and conditioning as an assistant strength coach at Ole Miss (2014-2019). After the 2019 season of coaching change Coleman accepted his most recent role as Senior Associate Director of Strength and Conditioning for Football at Florida State University from (2020-2025). Coleman begins his first season in the NFL as an assistant strength coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association; a Level 1 USA weightlifting coach and has earned the pn1 Precision Nutritionist certification. Coleman also received his masters degree from Florida State University in May 2024.
