NSCA recertification runs on a fixed three-year cycle for all certificants. To renew your certification, you must earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) — credits awarded for completing acceptable educational activities — before each three-year cycle ends. Earning CEUs also helps you stay current with evidence-based best practices and continue to grow professionally.
To maintain your certification, you’ll need to: (1) earn and report your required CEUs, (2) keep your CPR/AED certification up to date, and (3) complete the recertification process before the cycle ends.
