Developing the Court Sport Athlete
by Mike Snowden, MEd, CSCS, RSCC

This session takes a deep dive into the athlete development system used at HPS, with a focus on court sport performance. We’ll break down the full training structure — from movement progressions and loading strategies to how we use technology to guide programming and monitor readiness. Attendees will gain a practical framework for applying these concepts to their own training environments.

Hydration Under Pressure: Strategies for Athletes and First Responders
by Megan Lautz, MS, RD, CSCS, TSAC-F

This session dives into practical, evidence-based hydration strategies that actually work in high-stress, high-sweat environments. You’ll learn how to hydrate effectively before, during, and after exertion, whether it's a fireground operation, a training academy, or game day. We’ll also tackle how to choose the right electrolyte products to support recovery and reduce risk for dehydration-related injuries, sudden cardiac events, and mental fatigue.

Attendees will leave with tools to align their program design, communication strategies, and team environments with the same systems principles that drive peak performance and long-term growth.
