NSCA L.I.F.T Mentorship Program Information and Application
NSCA’s L.I.F.T. Mentorship Program is designed to cultivate future leaders for the Association and allows selected students and young professionals the opportunity to be paired with an experienced NSCA professional for one-on-one mentoring. Those selected will also receive leadership training throughout the year, gain additional connections in the field of strength and conditioning, and be granted an expense-paid trip to NSCA’s National Conference in Las Vegas (July 7-10, 2027)! See below for eligibility details, and attendance at NSCA's 2027 National Conference is required.
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
Program Eligibility
- Be a citizen, citizen national, or permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada.
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s program or higher in sports medicine, exercise science, or a related field; or currently working in sports or exercise science related fields (e.g., strength and conditioning, personal training, sports nutrition, academia, wellness management, etc.).
Required Application Materials
- Completed application form. (5 points)
- Two references must be provided. Each reference will receive an email from the applicant with an invitation to complete the online reference/evaluation form. Academic advisors, other professors, department chairs, academic deans, or individuals familiar with your capabilities and work ethic are ideal. (10 points)
- A description (500 words maximum) of how you intend to grow in the strength and conditioning profession and contribute to the diversity, equity, and inclusion of the field. Included in this description should be any specific goals you have for advancing in leadership within the NSCA. (10 points)
- A current resume/CV. Be sure to include any professional development activities you have undertaken. (5 points)
Application Deadline
