    The NSCA Foundation

For 10 years the NSCA Foundation has been working to advance the strength and conditioning industry by providing funding for educational and research endeavors. Since its founding, the NSCA Foundation has awarded over 115 grants and 440 scholarships—totaling over $2 million—to outstanding individuals within the strength and conditioning community.

A leader of its kind, the NSCA Foundation is one of the few foundations that funds education and research in strength and conditioning, while supporting those at the upper Master’s and senior investigator levels. Since its inception, the foundation has grown steadily; last year, it awarded more than $300,000 to qualified recipients.

These efforts have been made possible through financial support from dedicated NSCA members and supporters, and the impact is far-reaching. Chances are, you have personally benefitted from the NSCA Foundation without even knowing it. How? By supporting education and research into the practical application of strength and conditioning, the foundation’s work has facilitated the development of today’s highly skilled community of faculty, students, coaches and fitness professionals.

    Mission Statement

To support the mission of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) by providing funding for educational and research endeavors that enhance the practical applications of strength and conditioning.

    The NSCA Foundation at Work

Maddie (Madeline) Armstrong received an NSCA Foundation High School scholarship. Today, she is finishing her freshman year at East Stroudsburg University, an NSCA Education Recognition Program school. As an Exercise Science major, Maddie has maintained a 3.846 GPA and is the only freshman to participate in observing the school's Sports Science Institute. She writes:

“I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone again for their faith in me and for awarding me the High School scholarship. I am so proud to have chosen East Stroudsburg University and I am excited about all that I've been able to learn during my freshman year. The scholarship has made a significant difference in my education expenses and I wanted to let everyone know I've made the most of my freshman year and will continue to do so in the years ahead.”

    Continuing the Legacy

The NSCA Foundation would not exist if not for the generous contributions of the NSCA community. While the foundation is determined to assist as many applicants as possible, every year the list of exceptional applicants grows longer. The foundation would like to increase the number of awards to match the growth of the profession.

We hope that today, driven by your passion, you will consider shaping the future of strength and conditioning. Please consider making a donation to students like Maddie—your gift represents an investment in the next generation of strength and conditioning leaders. Visit NSCA.com/donate.

You are the key to a stronger future!
