Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of comorbidities increasing the risk for heart disease. Obesity, hypertension, high triglycerides, low high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, and type II diabetes are the markers that will discussed in this session. Assessments and program planning for these clients are key to a successful client/trainer relationship and a better quality of fitness/health.
