The Educator of the Year Award is presented to an educator who has made noteworthy contributions to education and clinical application of strength training and conditioning.
Current members are encouraged to nominate a deserving individual for Educator of the Year. Nominees must meet the Award Eligibility outlined below to be considered.
Kerksick is an Associate Professor of Exercise Science and Director of the Exercise and Performance Nutrition Laboratory in the School of Health Sciences at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. His research focuses on the impact of exercise and nutritional interventions on health and performance in healthy, competitive and clinical populations in addition to studying intramuscular responses to resistance training. Kerksick has published over 90 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals, given over 150 research presentations, authored multiple chapters, and edited two books on sports nutrition. Kerksick formerly served as the NSCA State Director for New Mexico. He currently serves on the NSCA Foundation Board of Directors and is a Senior Associate Editor for The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research and an Associate Editor of Strength and Conditioning Journal.View Kerksick's Press Release.
